Axel Jisborg Hultgren
A member of Ung Cancer who was himself diagnosed with cancer. He is also one of our speakers and talks about his cancer and what it is like to be diagnosed at the age of 23. Today Axel is cancer-free and has shared his experience in both Ung Cancer's channels and in the report The young people behind cancer released in 2024.
– What I want to tell others about is what it is like to be a young adult diagnosed with cancer: about the time before, during, and after treatment. That when treatment is over you stand between a life in the hospital and a life in the world outside. As a patient: healthy or sick. As a human being: yes, a little more complex than that.
