Become a mentor

Ung Cancer continues throughout autumn 2026 with our digital mentoring program. The idea is for long-standing members to be able to support new members who have just joined the organization. Anyone who is or has been a member and is over 30 years old can apply (whether affected by cancer themselves or a close relative). You should also be in a stable situation in life and have some distance from your own cancer journey.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the program, email our business development manager Erik at erikahlin@ungcancer.se

What does it mean to be a mentor:

As a mentor, you provide support through regular contact and can share your experiences or simply be a good listener. You will receive basic training and guidance during the program. The program is not a form of treatment, but rather provides compassionate support. You and the new member decide together how you would like to stay in touch, based on the member's needs.

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are 30 years old or older.
  • You are or have been a member of Ung Cancer.
  • You can commit to participating in the program for its entire duration (March 16 to June 30).

Dates:

The next round of the program starts on September 21, 2026, and as a mentor, you can support up to three people.

Applications open on July 10, 2026, and close on August 17, 2026.
