Cancer affects not only health, but also finances. In Ung Cancer's 2023 needs assessment, 46 percent reported that their financial situation had worsened since their diagnosis. Many young adults have no income qualifying for sickness benefits because they are studying or have temporary jobs. They are forced to use their savings, move back in with their parents, or work even though they are actually too ill.
