This bracelet is a symbol of the love I have for Dad. A love that didn't disappear when he did.
Seeing your parent become ill with cancer is something that changes you for the rest of your life. Since my dad became ill and passed away, I have started looking at life in a completely different way.
I chose to design my bracelet primarily with two strong colors. One was my dad's favorite color and also the color of the flowers at his funeral, which is orange. Pink is my favorite color. The orange color symbolizes the cancer my dad had (leukemia). The black bead in the middle symbolizes grief and loss. The two white beads symbolize the beautiful memories with my dad, but also a new start and chapter in life. My dad was just as colorful as this bracelet.
