Financial support for you as a next of kin

Ung Cancer’s financial support is intended to provide financial assistance to family members of young cancer patients for costs incurred in connection with cancer when the public safety net does not. Before applying for financial support from Ung Cancer, you should ensure that you have applied for any other grants and compensation to which you may be entitled.

You will find frequently asked questions about the financial support below. If you need help or would like to know more about our financial support, please feel free to contact us at ekonomisktstod@ungcancer.se

It is also possible to be granted financial support for counseling via Skype. Read more about Psykologpartners here. The support must be used within 18 months of approval.

  • Counseling with another psychologist/therapist of your choice. The maximum amount is then 5,000 SEK.

How do I apply?

You apply digitally. To apply, go to the link below and log in as a member of Ung Cancer. Then apply by filling out the form, and do not forget to attach your most recent medical certificate/statement regarding the diagnosis or a copy of the medical records describing your cancer diagnosis.

before you apply

As we have received many incomplete applications, we would like to remind you that it is important to always specify your monthly expenses, such as rent, transport/car costs, insurance, food, medical visits, and the like. The more detailed you are in specifying these, the better we will be able to assess your application fairly.
