Mimmis berättelse - Om att bli diagnostiserad med bröstcancer i gravidvecka 22

Mimmis Story - About Being Diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 22 Weeks Pregnant

My name is Mimmi and I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 22 weeks pregnant. In July 2024, I started to notice changes in my right nipple. I thought this had to do with the pregnancy, so I wasn't worried at all and waited until my next appointment with the midwife to talk to her. She referred me to the GP who in turn wrote a referral for an ultrasound. Had it not been for the fact that I was pregnant we would have also done a mammogram, but it turned out that an ultrasound was sufficient.

Om att vara ung och få bröstcancer - Jennifers berättelse

On Being Young and Diagnosed with Breast Cancer - Jennifer's Story

I am a 28-year-old woman who has always had a lot going on. I have always been driven, both among friends and at work, and I was often the one who organized fun activities and made sure things got done. For the first time in a long time, I had also settled down a bit in life. I loved my life, my job, my relationships, and everything I had built around me. What's more, the best years of my life lay ahead. Everything was planned, booked, and paid for. Then I noticed a distinct change in one of my breasts.

Rebeckas berättelse

Rebecca's Story

In 2022, I lived in Kenya and worked as a teacher at the Swedish School in Nairobi. I was living the life I had always dreamed of. I loved my job, played rugby, enjoyed life in Nairobi, and took every opportunity to explore the country. But amid it all, my body began to protest.

Anonym berättelse

Anonymous story

I went to school as a fourteen-year-old on an ordinary Monday at the end of May 2024. An ordinary Monday is perhaps an understatement, I mean, summer holidays were just around the corner. “Just this week, then a long, wonderful summer break awaits,” was the motivation to push through the last week of school. Just two weeks into the summer holidays, a three-week car trip through Europe was planned, a trip that the rest of my family and I were looking forward to immensely. What I didn’t suspect (for how could anyone possibly foresee something so terribly life-altering as what was about to happen) was that the entire trip would have to be canceled just a few hours later.

WAITING

In February 2021, I felt a lump in my left breast. It would be seven weeks before I received my cancer diagnosis. I was 26 years old and had recently graduated. The bad feeling came immediately. The small lump I had discovered by chance quickly made me think the absolute worst. I made the mistake that many advise against: I started googling. And the information I found only made me more worried.

Fannys berättelse

Fanny's Story

I was 32 years old and thought I had had my fill of grief and trauma. A childhood separated from my biological parents, chaotic teenage years, and a destructive relationship as a young adult had set me on completely wrong paths and caused an enormous amount of pain and suffering, both emotionally and physically.
