Pink the month

In October, we raise awareness during Pink October. But for us, it is not just about one month. We are here for young adults affected by cancer, for loved ones, and for survivors, all year round.

Being young and receiving a cancer diagnosis, or standing by someone who does, changes everything. While peers are building their lives through studies, work, and relationships, everyday life can instead be filled with worry, responsibility, and uncertainty. Many describe a loneliness that is difficult to put into words, even among family and friends.
It is precisely that loneliness we want to break. Through community, knowledge, and support, we ensure that no young adult has to face cancer alone.

She was 27 years old, had just met the love of her life, was a newly graduated communications professional, and had just moved home. Then came the letter. Johanna was 27 years old when she received her breast cancer diagnosis. Today, ten years later, she shares her story. During Pink Month, we tell her story, what it was like, and what sustained her: hope. 🩷
