CHRISTMAS BUFFET UPPSALA

Everyone who is a member of Ung Cancer is warmly welcome. Our meetings are for young adults (16–35 years) who themselves are or have been affected by cancer, or who are close relatives.

It’s completely free! Ung Cancer covers all costs associated with the activity, whether it’s dinner, movie tickets, or a fika.

It varies greatly! Everything from quiet coffee dates and board game nights to more action-packed activities like bowling, escape rooms, or visits to a horse farm. The goal is always to socialize in a relaxed setting.

It is completely natural to feel that way. You are more than welcome to bring a friend along for support the first time you attend a meeting. You can also contact the coordinator for your area in advance if you would like a little extra welcome.

Absolutely not. The meetings are there so that you can be "yourself" for a while. Sometimes there is a lot of talk about the illness and sometimes we don't talk about it at all. You share exactly as much or as little as you want.

For everyone! We have different types of groups: some are specifically for those affected, some for relatives, and many are mixed. The information for each specific meeting clearly states which target group it is intended for.

You register by emailing the local email address for your area (e.g. malmo@ungcancer.se) or via our local Facebook groups. Remember to check the registration deadline!

We would love to be present in more places! If your area is missing, you can apply yourself to become a coordinator. You will then receive training, a budget, and support from the office to start meetings. Contact our business developer lina.hellmark@ungcancer.se to find out more.

Yes, please indicate any allergies, dietary requirements, or need for accessibility adjustments (e.g., wheelchair access) in your registration so that we can plan accordingly.

Yes! For those who prefer to meet from home, we have digital book clubs (bokcirkel@ungcancer.se) and private Facebook groups where you can chat and share experiences with other members around the clock (medlem@ungcancer.se).

If you would rather meet with someone individually, we can match you with a conversation partner. This is another member in a similar situation whom you can email, call, or meet with one-on-one.
